“A Life Without Dreams” Art Tag

So it took me a while to write another post but I have a good excuse…… who am I kidding? I have no excuse!!! but hey, I am back this time and not after 3 years! so that’s something right???

Anyway, today I will be showing you an Art Tag that I made a few days ago, this has been one of my hobbies for a few years now, handmade cards, art journaling and art tags. Sometimes it takes me days to finish one of these, because even tough I am very creative, I have a really hard time trying to come up with a theme or an idea, but since I wanted to blog about this one, I forced myself to finish one in a few hours, so here is the result with a bit of a step by step and the products I used, I hope you like it!

First I started with a 3×5 1/2 inch piece of watercolor paper and covered it with Distress Inks by Tim Holtz in Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon using the Mini Blending Tool to get my background (photo 1) Then added some texture with Ranger texture paste that I mixed with TH Wild Honey Distress ink to give it some color, and I used the Dot Fade stencil from TH (picture 2), After that I glued some Idea-ology Tissue Paper and glued it with Liquitex White Gel Medium, stamped my sentiment on Versafine Black Onix Ink using the Dylusions Clearly The Right Words Stamp Set,  (picture 3) And finally, cut a heart from dark red card stock, glued it to the Tag along with the sentiment and a piece of red Baker’s Twine to kind of simulate a balloon, and to finish it all I outlined the heart with a black charcoal pencil and added some white paint drops all over with a Painter’s Paint Pen. (Picture 4)

So that is it!!! what do you think of the final result?? and of my forst ever art tag blog post?? it’s kind of hard to explaing every single thing I did, and to be honest I had to write down all the stuff I used and look at the pictures to remember, but I think I did a decent job.

Thanks for stoping by and comeback again soon!
